Immutable launches Main Quest rewards program for Web3 gamers

On April 25, 2024, gaming platform Immutable announced the launch of Main Quest — a rewards program for players.

According to the team, this is the largest rewards program in the history of Web3 gaming. It is expected to serve as an additional incentive for the development of projects within the extensive Immutable ecosystem.

The initiative involves distributing rewards among participants who show the highest activity in daily tasks. The prize pool for Main Quest amounts to $50 million.

The announcement states that to participate in the event, both new and existing players need to obtain an Immutable Passport. This product combines the functions of a Web3 wallet, authentication, and game profile management. It is designed to store personal data and simplify access to gaming products.

According to available data, the Immutable ecosystem includes over 270 projects, although some are still in development. The first stage of the program included ten Web3 games, including Illuvium and MetalCore.

“With The Main Quest, we are showing players what they can expect when we talk about the real benefits of digital ownership,” said Immutable CEO and co-founder Robbie Ferguson.

It’s worth noting that the IMX token experienced a slight increase upon the news of the Main Quest launch, but then dropped below $2.1. At the time of publication, IMX is trading around $2.06, according to CoinGecko.

Earlier, the Immutable platform launched the zkEVM mainnet with Polygon support. It combines zero-knowledge proof technology (zk-rollup) with Ethereum ecosystem capabilities.
