Avail, a Web3 infrastructure layer leveraging Polygon’s software development kit, is set to airdrop 600 million AVAIL tokens to users as part of its Unification Drop.
The Unification Drop is a unifying force bringing different communities together, rewarding developers, governance contributors, technical educators, rollup users, stakers and other valuable contributors from across multiple blockchain communities.
Established in 2020, Avail comprises three key segments: Nexus, Fusion, and DA. Avail DA enhances base-layer transactions by scaling rollups through techniques like KZG commitments and data availability sampling. Data availability enables node verification without downloading all block data, while KZG commitments ensure data verification without compromising privacy.

Avail Nexus facilitates cross-chain transactions and asset swaps across multiple blockchains, while Avail Fusion enables liquid staking of assets on Ethereum, Bitcoin, and other networks.
AVAIL tokens serve multiple purposes within the Avail ecosystem, including accessing Avail DA services, securing the unification layer through staking, and participating in governance. The airdrop distribution is based on user contributions and impact within the ecosystem, with 354,605 wallet addresses slated to receive AVAIL tokens upon the mainnet launch.
Of the total airdrop supply, allocations include 90 million tokens for blockchain ecosystem developers, 49.5 million for testnet users, 380 million for rollup users across various blockchains, 70 million for Polygon stakers, and 10.5 million for community contributors.
Notably, the airdrop is inclusive, extending beyond Avail and Polygon ecosystems to encompass contributions from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Avalanche, Near, and other blockchain projects.
The announcement of the airdrop received positive feedback within the Polygon community, with Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal expressing enthusiasm about the initiative.
Oooh, looks like a massive airdrop is upon @0xPolygon community. https://t.co/KhdvFM8XNN

Avail’s transition from Polygon Labs on March 16, 2023, was motivated by Polygon’s focus on Ethereum-native data availability efforts. The move positions Avail as a standalone layer to drive modular blockchain architectures and support scalability for Web3 projects across ecosystems.
