Scroll launches loyalty program to increase network assets

The Scroll team recently announced the initiation of their loyalty program, Scroll Sessions, with the primary objective of bolstering the inflow of assets integrated into its expanding network.

The Scroll team recently unveiled the initiation of the Scroll Sessions loyalty program, inviting users to actively participate in asset bridging activities in order to earn Marks, the program’s virtual rewards.

Participation in Session Zero, the inaugural phase of the loyalty program, requires users to bridge their Ethereum (ETH) and wrapped stETH (wstETH) tokens either through Scroll’s native bridge or by utilizing STONE, an omnichain fungible token (OFT) operating on LayerZero, Scroll’s Layer 2 protocol. Importantly, participants are not obligated to conduct any additional transactions beyond the initial asset bridging.

Marks, the loyalty program’s virtual tokens, will be retrospectively assigned to users who have deployed assets on Scroll’s network since October 10, 2023, incentivizing early adopters and active contributors.

Scroll distinguishes itself as an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network that leverages cutting-edge zero-knowledge technology. Zero-knowledge proofs (zk-proofs) enable parties to verify the truth of a statement without revealing any additional information, ensuring privacy and security in transactions. This technology has become instrumental in scaling Layer 1 blockchain networks while addressing privacy concerns effectively.

According to data from DeFiLlama, Scroll’s total value locked (TVL) currently stands at an impressive $59.52 million, demonstrating a consistent upward trajectory since its official launch in October 2023, and signaling robust growth and adoption within the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
